My favorite part of being a parent is the holidays.  Grace's first Christmas we started establishing traditions and now that our little family is complete each year we add new traditions to look forward to and in my opinion, it just makes the holidays so much more fun.  We visit Santa, we write and mail letters to the North Pole, we make sweets with the family and deliver them to the neighbors... but my favorite tradition is the pajamas.

Growing up, every Christmas Eve amongst the toys, clothes and other goodies, my parents gifted us a pair of (mostly) matching pajamas.  Before bed we pulled them from the pile and slipped into them eagerly waiting all that comes with Christmas morning.  My parents still buy the pajamas for us, but now Rob and I get to buy the pajamas for our girls, carrying on the tradition. I tuck them into a box with a book for them to open at Grandma and Grandpa's house Christmas Eve before we head home and tuck sleepy baby bodies into bed to play Santa.

The Christmas Eve pajama tradition has stuck with me for almost thirty years.  It helps make Christmas the holiday that it is.
