My lovely over seas friend Amanda at Overseas Adventures gave me the Versatile Blogger award.  (If you haven't read her awesome blog.. you should.  I mean come on guys, she lives overseas and writes about it!)

Here are the rules.

1. My hair is naturally red.  I just recently considered adding some highlights to change things up.
2. I clean late at night.. that's when my motivation almost always hits.  When we lived in the townhouse and apartment this was a bit difficult as I couldn't exactly be vacuuming at 11 at night..
3. I'm a Kansas City Chiefs fan.. through the thick and the thin.. the good and the bad.. there is no fair weather fan in me.
4. I drive a stick shift.
5. I've had 3 majors.  Elementary education. Interior Design. Graphic Design. :)
6. I'm OBSESSED with purses.
7. Ever since I was little I've loved a good book.  A good book that HAS to have an underlying love story (or I lose interest).  I'm just a sucker for a love story y'all.

The award I was awarded by not one but three people is the Liebster award.  First off thank you Kathryn at My Life as a Reserve Army Wife (hands down one of my best blogger buddies!  If we lived closer.. there would be trouble we've decided!), Jen at The Adventures of Our Army Life (totally awesome Army wife!) and Janna at Faith, Hope and Love (just started following her cute little blog, and you should too!).

The Liebster award is awarded to up and coming bloggers with under 200 followers.  Jen defined real well what Liebster means in her post, so rather than copy and paste.. just go here.

1. I live for cool, jeans and sweatshirt, weather.
2. I own 4 pairs of cowgirl boots.  And if it were up to me... I'd add a pair or two or three.
3. I thoroughly enjoy reality (more often than not trashy) TV.  I'm talking housewives, guidettes, basically anything on MTV.. that kind of reality.  Although I am a sucker for Hart of Dixie.. oh goodness sakes alive (Wade fan.. HOLLA!)
4. I'm not sure what I am going to do with my degree.  My ideal goal would be to run a freelance design company on the side where I design invitations, programs, thank you's, etc.
5. Sometimes I care TOO much about what other people care/think/want.
6. I have two dogs that are both madly in love with my husband even though I take care of them day in and day out.  And sometimes I pout and throw a fit because it is just not fair.
7. I LOVE country music.  Old, new.  Twangy or not. But I am absolutely not a Taylor Swift fan.  (I think she is overrated.)
8. I love organization.  Everything has a place.  Not an area like my husband may sometimes think, a place... just one.
9. I get super excited when I think about the future.  Of course I have no idea what is in store for me... but I know that whatever is supposed to happen, will happen.
10. I have a three inch scar on my upper left thigh from a bicycle accident when I was 11.  My wheel got stuck in a crack between the grass and sidewalk.  As a result I was thrown off but not before my pedal tore my leg open.  It was too jagged for stitches and I've never been a fan of bike riding since.
11. I'm seriously a social media junkie.  It's addicting y'all.

1. What made you decide to start a blog?
Being far away from family and friends for the first time in 2010 (when we lived in Maryland) I was looking for that one way to inform them about my life and what better way then writing about it on a blog?  Since then it has morphed into more of a hobby.  I'm a "blogger".

2. What have you learned from blogging?

That not everyone always has the same viewpoint as me.  My husband likes to say I grew up under a rock.  True or not I am not sure.. but regardless it is interesting to see how people think about various topics.


3. If you could travel anywhere (don't worry about money) where would you go and why?
The Atlantis hotel in the Bahamas... ever since MaryKate and Ashley Olsen made a movie there I"ve been dying to go there.. 

4. What is your favorite animal?
Moose.

5. If you could have your dream job, what would it be?
I'd say being a mother.. with a side of graphic design.. and a side of blogging.  If those three things could make me serious bank I'd be golden.

6. If your iPod/radio was turned on right now, what type of music would be playing?
Countryyyyyyyy. :) 

7. What's your favorite movie?
The Notebook. Sweet Home Alabama and Ladder 49.

8. Where did you attend college? If you haven't gone yet, where would you like to go?
I went to the local community college for my Associate's.  Now I am going to DeVry all online!

9. If you could live anywhere in the U.S., where would it be and why?
Kansas.  It's where my family and friends are.  Let's just be honest.. I'll always be a Kansas princess and a small part of me is always left behind everytime we have to move.  There are other areas I like... but Kansas will always be my go to place.

10. What annoys you most about milspouse bloggers?
Complaining about the military.  I get that is what blogging is for.. but I feel the same way about some blog posts as I do about some Facebook posts.  I know it isn't always ideal... BUT the government writes your spouse a paycheck.. in return your spouse does what they tell them do when they do.. period.  End of story.

11. If you could have an entire day to yourself, what would you do with your time?
Not a thing.  Read a book.  Watch TV.  Nap.. not get up a hundred times to let the dog out.  Not do laundry. Not clean.  Nothing.


1. If you could be any color, what would you be and why?
Teal.  It's bright, colorful and gives off a relaxed vibe all at the same time.

2. Do you have any pets?
Two gorgeous doggies!  Piston my 2 year old boxer.  Klutch my 6 month old boxer mix puppy.

3.  If you could meet anyone living or dead who would it be?
My grandmother on my Mom's side.  She died when I was two... so while she knew me, I didn't get to know her as well as I would have liked.  Being that she is my Momma's Mom, I know she would have been a fabulous lady to have known!

4. What is your favorite meal?
Macaroni and cheese.  Growing up I'd request mac and cheese, tuna patties and broccoli with cheese as my birthday dinner.

5. If you could pick any actor to play you in your life story, who would you choose?
Emma Stone handsdown.

6. Are you a tomboy or girly girl?
Somewhere in between.  I always have my toes painted, but I don't mind going fishing with my husband and walloping through the mud.

7. Do you have any siblings?
I have one biological sister.  Heyyyyy Rintin!
And a whole handful of siblings I married into.. 1 boy and 2 girls on Rob's Mom's side.  3 boys and 3 girls on Rob's Dad's side.

8. What is your biggest pet peeve?
Whining. Bad drivers. Loud chewers.

9. Are you allergic to anything?
Kitty cats.

10. Are you afraid of anything?
Dying. Being alone. And recently the bugs here in Georgia.

11. What is your favorite type of music?
Couuuuuntry... for like the third time this post. ;)
